Bridging Unique Ideas to Light & Drive Intentional Thinking
Our BUILD IT program thrives on leading the whole student by providing resources that teach youth how to create their own music using music technology while harmoniously blending in activities to help improve self, interaction with others and decision-making.
Unlike traditional music programs, which focus on the performance of a pre-existing musical piece, our program illuminates creative expression through music creation. Young people make their own music based on their own thoughts, beliefs and emotions. This creative process is called Music Production and with a few exceptions, is not implemented anywhere in school music programs: primary or secondary schools.
Through our music production and subject matter learning targets, activities and events, students will be able to show demonstrations of learning for each course in our curricula and events that builds learning readiness skills, mental wellness, improves awareness in self, others and decision-making all while enhancing their creativity, problem-solving, communication, community and collaboration.
